Exegetical studies from selected wisdom books will be conducted to explore the biblical wisdom, and its relevancy today.

The relationship between the Chronicles an the post exilic literature will also be addressed.

This course studies the prophetic literature of the Old Testament (former: Joshua-Kings; the Latter Prophets: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel; and the 12 Minor Prophets: Hosea - Malachi). An introductory course into the prophecy and prophetic literature emphasizing the various genre and historical settings of ancient Israel. A survey into the division, contents, structure of the prophetic books, and their historical settings: social, political, economic, and religious context of the Ancient Near East and Israel. Finally an examination of the theological and prophetic message of various texts will be interpreted through dialogue.
