This course introduces, the Study of the identity of Jesus, and the mission of Christ. The importance of Jesus, and the presence of God in Christ.
TH612: Triune God
The
main focus of study is the concept of Trinity: God the Father, the Son and the
Holy Spirit. A thorough search for biblical roots and affirmation of the
doctrine is required. The exploration of its historical growth and development
of the doctrine in the patristic and medieval era is necessary. The implication
of the doctrine for an understanding in the contemporary texts is required
TH522: Wesley's Theology and Ethics
This course aims at orienting students with the main “themes” in the theology of John and Charles Wesley. Students are required to have a thorough and comprehensive knowledge of the basic Wesleyan doctrines, teachings and theology, and be able to relate, connect and apply them to Samoan Methodist practices.
TH412: Ecclesiology
The course exposes students to the Doctrine of the Church. A significant focus will be put on the stream of ecclesiology in order to allow students to discuss the biblical and theological issues involved in the study of the Church in a deeper and more comprehensive way. The practical basis of students for successful service in local churches, focused on the theological interpretation of the local church, is a particular emphasis of this course.
